There have been numerous speculations surrounding Windows 12 this year. Despite lacking official confirmation from Microsoft, various indications suggest its development. At the Build 2023 developer conference, a video screenshot hinting at a “next generation” of Windows was revealed, presumably alluding to Windows 12 rather than a purely cloud-based Windows 11.

Microsoft has also mentioned a “Next Valley Prototype Design,” believed to be a codename for the upcoming iteration of Windows.

According to Windows Latest, Microsoft inadvertently revealed an OS version with a floating taskbar during the company’s 2023 Ignite conference. This is likely part of internal testing, exploring fresh design modifications for the future Windows release.
