Another “book” who bites the dust?
The Beosound Emerge is the latest design by Benjamin Hubert [London-based Design Agency LAYER] and Bang & Olufsen really delivered a fantastic wireless speaker which looks like a small book. The target of the company is always notorious designs without sacrificing sound.
The black version comes with an aluminum font grill and base with polymer side panels and the gold version which feels (and it is) more premium, features light oak side panels with aluminum base and woven Kvadrat textile.
Placed on the speaker’s top we find the soft-touch button for pause-skip songs, volume control and Bluetooth and microphone LED indicators. The Beosound Emerge supports Google Assistant, Spotify Connect,Apple AirPlay2 and Google Chromecast. There is also Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, Ethernet port. a line-in/optical jack, USB-C port to power the speaker and a micro USB service port.
Inside of it you will find a 4-inch woofer driver (60W), a 1.45-cinch mid-range driver (30W), and a 0.6-inch tweeter (30W), with audio frequency range of 45-22,000 Hz. The black one will
go for $699 and the gold model for $899 in a worldwide launch this fall.
